From half way up the final climb, Burnmoor again

A close up of what would end up being my route up Illgill Head

This picture is the area that I was meant to walk..
I looked and I looked for the path that was meant to be my way up Illgill but I couldn't see it at all,
so I took the one mentioned instead.

A close up of Buckbarrow

The final climb to the summit of Scafell

Looking back to Slight Side

Ill Crag again.. one of my favorite places in the lakes

Bow Fells Summit looking deserted .. maybe no one else is walking today in these winds..

The Crinkles looking the same.. very quiet

From Scafells Summit looking at Symonds Knott

Ohh Look.. people...

Wonder if this is you??

Another close up of part of my route up Illgill head, but not the reason for the photo....

Center of picture,, the three cars together, furthest one away has a roof box....
I can see you honey !!!!!

Same thing again, but a better shot of the lake and Buckbarrow.

Looking up the Mosedale valley to Pillar.
The funny thing was that at this point in the walk the wind actually died down a little.. which was a great relief.

Same picture panned out...

On the way down now and you can see a clear path leading towards Burnmoor Tarn off to the left of picture,
this was meant to be my route, but, as I said.. looking at Illgill Head I couldn't see my supposed path up
which according to the map is somewhere between where the shaddow of the cloud is and the clear path you see nearer the edge.
So, I just walked across Green How straight for Illgill.. turned out just fine.

looking back to Scafell

From the ascent of Illgill Head looking towards Great How with Slight Side on the left.

Lingmell and Kik Fell

Yewbarrow and Red Pike Behind covered in shaddow
