Saint Sunday Crag

I'll be adding a write up of this walk later, but let me just say that my plan was to do Saint Sunday Crag - Dollywaggon - Helvellyn and back to Patterdale... all I managed was Saint Sunday Crag. I have been on top of Scafell Pike with biting winds and someone at the time worked out that the temp was -17... on that day my hands were warm as toast in my gloves, as was the rest of me..
Today we were on the summit of SSC for 5 minutes and by the time I had walked through the 60-80 mph winds the ends of each of my fingers hand turned blue... that was my clue to get the hell off the mountain .. which I did.

Dad, I think its this way...

Are you coming or what....

This may look like a nice calm wintery scene,
but I tell you this is the coldest I have ever been in my life..

Grisdale Tarn frozen at one end.

This was on the way back down to Patterdale from Grisdale tarn.
