Rossett Pike and Bowfell
8th September 2007

This shows just how yucky it had got, and at this point I really thought we
would have to come straight back down after doing Rossett.

I've left this picture as dark as this because this really was how it felt.

The first 'money shot', the summit of Rossett Pike, well done you three!

Looking a long way down to Rossett Gill

Charlie not at all impressed with how far down it was...

Happy to be sat down.

WTG Kim for this great picture amidst the gloom

I'd told the kids we would have diner by the side of this tarn, every bit of water we saw..' is this it.???'
'No kids, this is it, Angle Tarn'.. diner time.

The outflow of the tarn.

Looking across to Hanging Knotts

Jay loving it.. full steam ahead across the tarn.

The the kids noticed these little beauties everywhere...

And daddy gets to show off his camera again.. lol...

Having had diner I took the decision that doing just one hill was silly,
lets push on up Ore Gap and do Bowfell.... Kerenza does not look happy at my choise... ooopps

Mind you, the views aint bad.. back over Angle Tarn, Rossett Pike to the Langdales.

Over Tongue Head, Allen Crags to the left and a misty Glaramara to the right.

The the mist cleared for a second and Allen Crags in view

Across over Black Crags, the hill in the distance is I believe Sergeant Man.
