My longest walk to date ....

Dunmail Raise - Grisedale Tarn - Dollywaggon Pike - High Crag, Grisedale - Nethermost Pike - Helvellyn - Helvellyn Lower Man - White Side - Raise - Sticks Pass - Stybarrow Dodd - Watson's Dodd - Stybarrow Dodd - Sticks Pass - back along the road to Dunmail Raise.

This is the walk I have been wanting to do for months, but weather conditions have made it impossible. I wasn't sure which way to go about this, but really had planned to catch the bus back along the road. I really want to point out that doing this walk this way is NOT advisable, the walk along the road is HIGHLY dangerous and I will not be doing this again.. . two people and two cars next time..

Erm started to make the descriptions up and well.. if you think some of them are out.. let me know..
Nethermost pike and High Crag seem to be looking very much the same.. lol... too much snow.. thats my excuse...

From the bottom of Dunmmail Raise to Helm Crag

This was the first of many times that he looked back at me as if to say..
"will you please get a move on", really annoying when you are trying to catch your breath...

Looking towards Fairfield.. David Hall is up there some where.. hi David mate....

When I got to the top of the Dunmail, some amazing views across the Grisdale Tarn....

Fairfield looking majestic

Last weekend I froze my butt off on this hill.. Saint Sunday Crag
today it was amazingly peacfull and looked like a really nice walk... sorry.. I'm off the other way...

Looking back to where I had come from, Dunmail...

On the way up Dollywaggon Pike

As we were gaining height I started to see what has illuded me for so long.. even if it wasn't a full blown one..

Looking back to High Crag from Nethermost Pike

Harrop Tarn taken from somewhere around Nethermost's summit.

Striding Edge.. not the place I wanted to be for sure...

It seemed that some people thought it was a good idea....

I hadn't really told him off here, just got a little anxious when want to go see what the water was all about..
it is only a few hundred feet STRAIGHT down to Red Tarn...

A slightly better shot... not 100% sure I was stood on solid ground here though..

Taken from the top of Striding Edge, an amazing look at Saint Sunday Crag
