My whole family walked parts of or all

Gowbarrow - Great Mell Fell and Little Mell Fell

Parking at the National Trust car park just off the A592 we started our first walk up to Aire Force.

We had seen the photo's of this on Andrew and David's web sites,
but nothing can prepare you for the beauty of this place.

The begininning of the walk, Odette on her own for a second.. I soon got back by her side..

....

The picture below is taken with Odette stood on the bridge over the falls.

...

Odette looking down
and the view that she got

The strangest thing about this place is that this is the view where it drops off....

This is the other side of the bridge.

Everyone on the bridge.. almost

Further up the path you come to High Force.

This is my current wallpaper picture for my computer.. every one looks so happy.

As it turned out Odette was feeling it badly by now and so we carried on.

The youngest two already up a very steep part.

Kimberley in hot persuit...

The dogs really didn't enjoy this walk at all.
Due to the lambing season and the notices everywhere they were never allowed off the lead,
which they hate.

Ascending the final part of Gowbarrow,
Charlie taking point, then Kerenza, followed by Kimi

Charlie on top, not bad for a 6 yr old!

Some nice person took our picture on the top.

From the summit we could see our next 'target' Great Mell Fell.
The line of trees along the bottom of the fell is the road we took,
parking right at the bottom of the largest wooded area.

Again from the summit of Gowbarrow this would be our last hill,
Little Mel Fell.. the small clump of trees to the far right is where we parked.

On our way off Gowbarrow, click this one for a rather nice large one....
You can see by this that all through the day it was nice one minute,
and really rather nippy the next..
this was actually when we took the coats back off again

Charlie was starting to feel it at this point, think she was missing mummy.

Talking of which.. here she is.. back at Aire Force all recovered... ish.

From here we travelled to

Great Mell Fell

And met up with someone that

didn't make it up the hill.....

Kimi giving it all up a steep part.

The wind blows rather hard around these parts...

A local came to say hello.. saw the dogs and thought better of it...

Kerenza first this time.

I kind of forgot to take any pictures here.. sorry

From here it was trudge back down and onto..

Little Mell Fell

Kerenza not all that happy about being so close to the edge of the path..
You can see our car with Mummy, Kim and Charlie in it...

Kerenza at yet another summit for her.

do you think she is pleased???

Good picture of moi.. TY Kez..

Ullswater behing Kerenza from the decent down.

and boy what a decent...

When we got back down we headed off towards Patterdale,
more because we just didn't want the day to end really,
but we ended up parking in the NT car park at Glencoyne where a very nice Asian family took our picture

We then went down to the lake side and these are some shots.
