Fellbarrow and Low Fell
23rd October 2007

My plan for today was to walk these two hills and then go and camp over night at Whinfell Hall camp site. Although it was half term, this is an area of the lakes that is known to be quiet, it's also the area where all my remaining walks are. My photo's will show a deserted fell top, with no one else in sight, trust me that was not the case.. there were lots of folks about even on this diddy little hill. I've also tried to keep these down to a minimum as tomorrow's walk is Great Borne to Red Pike, and I am expecting a lot of pictures.

The start from Galloway Farm, Thackthwaite is easy straight forward.

Then I took a short cut through the ferns, something other people had done before me.

I do love how the fells can produce this kind of odd looking tree.
