Nab Scar - Heron Pike - Great Rigg
- Fairfield - (at last)
Stone Arthur
Saturday 14th January 2006
After
weeks of trying, and it failing to happen, I finally managed to meet
up with David Hall. Kerenza and I met David at Rydal Church, and we did the walk above. Conditions were about as bad as you could wish for, or not, the only saving grace was that it didn't actually rain that hard. We got hardly any views all morning, and one would expect us to be very disappointed, not the case. Kerenza and I have been wanting to get up Fairfield for a long time and today we managed it. I won't bother adding many descriptions to the pictures, but I must thank David for his time today as I know he has done thing walk many times, and it really was so, so much easy being with him, especially on the route back to Rydal - cheers mate .. next time you can pick the route. |
There was so little to see I didn't even take a photo until we got to Great Rigg.

With Dad and Jay on Great Rigg's summit.

Kerenza having her hot soup on top of Fairfield, a rare pic of Mr Hall...

On the edge of Fairfield looking out towards Cofa Pike and Hart Crag.. not that you could see 20 feet in front of you...
The rest aren't in order.. just a few more of our decent.

Mist so bad in the one of the right I could hardly see them and they were 10 feet away.

A rather tricky bit coming down off Stone Arthur.

AT LAST A VIEW.. WHIPPPEEeeeeeeee

Jay not looking too keen on the cold water
