Page Three The sun was really starting to get hot by now, midday and boy did I know it. |

The short walk from Littlesca Fell to Greatsca Fell.

Once there my heart kind of sunk a little. In front of me was Knott, and it looked near enough.. and not too high.,.
but in the distance.. what's that all the way over there.. ohh man...
to the left High Pike, and to the right Carrock Fell, where the car was.. ouch!

Knott from Greatsca Fell

From Knott's summit a wonderful view, Great Calva center closest to camera - Lonscale fell to the left behind,
Little Man to the right.

The full picture of Skiddaw. Had the floor not been covered with crawlies I would have collapsed here
and had a good hour enjoying the sun and having a rest, it was heaven.

Instead I pushed on towards High Pike, and a picture of the valley I has started walking up 7 and 1/2 hours earlier.

Now you come across a lot of things whilst walking, but someones garage isn't usally top of many peoples lists.
Lingy Hut is so out of place and to date I have no idea of its history.. will have to investigate

After a bit of a slog my last but one summit for the say, High Pike.

It even has a trig point! Carrock Fell behind. Now there is an amazing bench on top of this fell, but just before I got there
two people aged about fifty or so got there before me. Now don't get me wrong, you could fit four people on this thing easily,
but they had decided this bench was theirs, placed bags and distance between themselves and gave off serious vibes not to
even ask if they minded moving up a little. Normally I wouldn't have given a monkeys,
there were rocks and dried ground everywhere... but then so where our multi legged friends.. everywhere.. but that bench.

So again without hardly any rest, I push onto Carrock Fell, this is looking back to High Pike.

From the summit looking directly east.

Knott is far right, Great Calve can just bee seen center of picture, the dark area in the center is known as Coomb Height

Carrocks summit cairn

Looking down on Bowscale from just about Kelt Crags

Looking down into the valley.. my cars down there somewhere

It seemed a long time ago since I set off up that valley

ahh there it is.. oh well nothing else for it.. down through the heather..
